Yoga for cancer patients & survivors: Maple Tree Cancer Alliance:

Yoga for Cancer Patients & Survivors

This class will now be held in the Years Ahead Health Center Classroom,  6661 Clyo Road, Centerville, OH .  Classes are every Wednesday, from 6pm - 7pm, beginning May 29, 2019.   

This is a free program offered in collaboration with Maple Tree Cancer Alliance.  Individual sessions are also available at 8 area locations, including Kettering Cancer Center, Soin Medical Center, and Greene Memorial Hospital.  Please call Maple Tree Cancer Alliance at 937-688-3940 or 937-281-3990 to register or for more information.

Metabolic Syndrome:

More than one-third of U.S. adults have a combination of health conditions known as metabolic syndrome. This dangerous mix increases the risk of developing heart disease and diabetes. Metabolic syndrome is identified when an individual has high blood pressure, certain abnormal cholesterol levels, increased levels of blood sugar, and a wider waist circumference. Learn from our specialist, Victoria Buckner, MD, about symptoms and treatments.

About our Speaker: Dr. Singh is the Medical Director of the Neuroscience Institute Center for Kettering Health Network. He has special interest in treating patients with refractory epilepsy, including vagal nerve stimulator placement and pre-surgical evaluation for epilepsy patients. Published in several medical journals with a passion for teaching, he also works closely with Grandview Medical Center residents.
